Job Description:

Job Summary:


This position is responsible for oversite and program development of HLD Automation Systems.  The position will manage a team of mechanics, controls engineers, and vendors performing maintenance and troubleshooting on automation systems.  The position will be responsible for developing PM and reliability methods and metrics as well as holding team accountable to meet goals within those metrics.  The position will be responsible for understanding and troubleshooting all IT and mechanical systems as it relates to ASRS systems.

Responsibilities:

Communicate  and assign work to mechanic work group as well as coordinate required downtime with cross functional team

Create and hold mechanic work group accountable to Lockout program

Effectively communicate emergency downtime and expected impact to cross functional counterparts and management team

Maintain spare parts program and facilitate inventory audit program

Establish support contracts with vendors and hold vendors accountable to response/resolution timeframes

Develop and maintain goals related to system reliability

Understand basic functionality of PLC and controls systems

Develop mechanical repair best practices

Work with operational team to resolve day to day issues

Studies blueprints, sketches, machine parts or specifications to determine type and dimensions of parts required

Create high level of safety culture within mechanic work group

Ability to work flexible shifts and be on call

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent

Programming experience including troubleshooting, basic understanding of networks, motor control theory, and operation including basic AC and DC electrical troubleshooting – Preferred

Proficiency in Microsoft Office products

Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and simple diagrams

Effective Communication Skills

Minimum of 3-5 year’s experience in maintenance field

Ability to work flexible hours and provide on call support

Internal Salary Grade: 20G
