ResponsibilitiesDocument operational data and prepare recommendations for system improvements.Investigate and maintain building systems including fire detection, emergency power distribution, and digital controls.Apply knowledge in fire protection, generator systems, air/water balancing, and more.Solve complex problems and manage information effectively.Plan, research, analyze, coordinate, implement, and present program requirements.Interact professionally with departmental staff, contractors, manufacturers, vendors, and consultants.Assist engineers in evaluating contractors and equipment.Read and interpret complex construction documents and technical manuals.Communicate effectively with supervisors and departmental staff.Essential SkillsBasic, current knowledge of at least two of the following specialties: Fire Detection System, Emergency Power Distribution, Fire Protection System, Generator, Air/Water Balancing, Automatic Transfer Schemes, Chilled Water/Heating Water, Digital Controls and Monitoring, Pneumatic Tube System, Andover/Metasys/STAEFA, Medical Gas, Instrumentation, Metering, Refrigeration, Data Treatment, Power Logic System, High Voltage Certified Maintenance, PCL Programming, High Voltage Switching, Plumbing, Steam Distribution, Domestic water.High-level ability to solve problems and manage information.Ability to plan, research, analyze, coordinate, implement, and present program requirements.Proficient in reading and interpreting construction documents and technical manuals.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent; an AA degree is preferred.Specific training in engineering or maintenance discipline equivalent to 1 year of college.Experience in HVAC, building maintenance, and systems engineering.Effective communication skills, both written and oral.Why Work Here?Join a dynamic team at a leading hospital, where you will have the opportunity to work with advanced building systems and make a significant impact.
