As a Bartender with Waldorf Astoria Hotels and Resorts, you will deliver an elevated beverage experience that complements the artistry of fine dining. You will craft refined cocktails, present premium wines and spirits with confidence, and provide intuitive, discreet service that reflects the sophistication of a world-class luxury hotel.
This role requires precision, deep product knowledge, and a passion for Italian culinary culture. You will collaborate closely with the culinary and service teams to ensure seamless guest journeys while maintaining impeccable standards of quality, presentation, and hospitality.
What will I be doing?
A Bartender will be responsible for engaging our guests during their visit, receiving/serving orders and ensuring brand service standards are met to the highest quality. As well as to prepare beverages for other servers to supply to guests, and act as cashier for the lounge. Additionally, you are responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Provide refined, attentive, and personalized beverage service in alignment with Michelin-level dining standards.Engage guests with professional warmth, offering expert recommendations on cocktails, aperitive, digestive, and beverage pairings.Anticipate guest preferences and deliver service with elegance, discretion, and efficiency.Prepare and present classic and contemporary cocktails with precision, artistry, and consistency.Demonstrate strong knowledge of Italian spirits, liqueurs, wines, and aperitif culture.
Ensure beverages complement menu offerings through thoughtful pairing suggestions.Maintain exceptional presentation standards for all beverages served in the restaurant.Prepare beverages for service team members promptly and accurately to support seamless restaurant operations.Maintain immaculate bar organization, cleanliness, and mise en place at all times.Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring proper storage and reporting replenishment needs.Assist in opening and closing procedures following hotel operational standards.Adhere strictly to responsible alcohol service regulations and hotel policies.Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.Handle billing, cash, and electronic transactions accurately according to hotel procedures.Collaborate closely with culinary and service teams to deliver a seamless fine dining experience.Participate actively in training programs aligned with luxury service excellence standards.Stay informed on global mixology trends, seasonal ingredients, and evolving guest preferences.
