Bartender/Server - DoubleTree by Hilton Fort Shelby Detroit Downtown

At the DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel Detroit Downtown – Fort Shelby We’re seeking an energetic Bartender to join our team at this all-suite property in the heart of Detroit! In this role, you’ll not only craft beverages behind our 18-seat bar, but also serve tables in the bar area, which features 50 seats plus an additional 72 overflow dining seats.

What are we looking for?

Requirements:

Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends and holidays - Must be available to work a full flexible schedule including nights, weekend and Holidays 

Standing, lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50 Lbs2 years of professional bartending experience 

Legal Age to Sell and distribute alcohol 

 

Preferred: 

Working/knowledge of POS System

Food handler's card


What will I be doing?

As a Bartender, you would be responsible for preparing beverages and serving beverages and/or food to guests in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Greet guests and respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly and efficient mannerMix and garnish beverages according to recipe and portion control standardsPresent and serve beverages to guestsCheck guests for proper identification and serve alcoholic beverages to guests in accordance with federal, state, local and company laws and regulationsAccurately total, process and collect payments from guests to include, but not limited to, using the point-of-sale system, handling money, processing credit and debit cards, making change and processing gift certificates, cards and vouchersStock and maintain the bar to include, but not limited to, beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice and produceCut, store and ensure product quality of all beverage-related perishablesRespond professionally to inebriated guests, as needed
