Summary This position is located within Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation at Lone Star Conference Center. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Responsibilities Sets up bars for operation, obtains cash bank and stocks service bar. Assures an adequate stock Level is maintained, sets up storeroom and work area to permit easy access to stock items. Records sales and makes change or prepares charge slips. Keeps bar and work area clean and sanitary. Identifies persons who become unruly or who appear intoxicated, resolves the problem or seeks assistance in accordance with established procedures. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: Meet state/local age requirements for the serving of alcoholic at the time of appointment. Be able to lift and carry weights up to 20 pounds. Possess math skills necessary to calculate patron bills and take inventory. Skill in mixing and serving alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages. In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": Currently possess a valid Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) certification. Prior experience working with RecTrac systems in a food service or hospitality environment. Possesses a minimum of 2 years' experience crafting a diverse range of cocktails, including both simple classics and complex specialty drinks. Allowances and Differentials This job falls under the Federal Wage Schedule (FWS) pay system. FWS employees earn overtime pay for working more than 8 hours in a day or more than 40 hours in a week -- whichever gives the employee more benefit. Regular full-time, regular part-time, and regularly scheduled flexible employees may receive Sunday premium pay for working on Sundays. Employees may also be eligible to receive extra pay if the majority of their scheduled hours falls after 3:00 PM. Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
