Responsible to host and serve all guests, ensuring they have an exceptional drinking dining experience; creating lasting memories and building relationships. You will bring our bar concepts to life by using your personal flair and style when interacting with our guests.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

To ensure the delivery of brand promise and provide exceptional guest service at all times, reinforcing Hyatt’s Values and culture characteristicsTo follow the Cycle of service of Grand Hyatt KochiTo follow all skills trained in the departmental core TrainingTake care of the equipment as if it were your ownKnow the daily targets and projectionsAttend lunch and dinner brief with restaurant staff to review daily specials, changes on the menu and service specifications for reservations (e.g. parties)To be fully conversant with all services, offers, promotions and facilities offered by the hotelCommunicate effectively between all internal workplace restaurant departments i.e managers, kitchen staff, bar tendersCheck dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation and report any problems, to include par levels as set by the managementAdhere to the correct restaurant pathwaysTo alert any potential problems to your direct supervision, where possible before they ariseAttend all training where required, having an avid interest in learning and education surrounding their venue and productsTo understand and strictly adhere to the Rules Regulations established in the Employee Handbook and the Hotel’s policy on Fire, Hygiene, Health and SafetyTo carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assignedUpdate guest notes 100% i.e. make detailed guest notes after service on each of your own tablesTo be charismatic and make conversation easily and with an array of peopleTo be driven by achieving a rounded sales experience, using selling skills as trainedAble to effectively manage their dedicated working areas and delegate where appropriateMeets sales mix expectationsMeets sales and spend forecastsHave a thorough understanding of the local industryFollowing international and local Bar and Drink trendsClosely follow and complete opening and closing procedures and check lists for the bar and obtain a manager signatureServe alcohol responsibly and report any concerns to duty manager immediately

Ideally with a relevant degree or diploma in Hospitality or Tourism management. Minimum 2 years work experience in hotel operations. Good customer service, communications and interpersonal skills are a must.
