Makes and serves guests delicious food and beverages in accordance with established standards and with hospitality and professionalism. Ensures the quality of food, cleanliness and accessibility is maintained during meal periods. Creates memorable experiences through personalized and genuine interactions.
Essential Duties: Stocks bar, mixes and serves alcoholic beverages, assists in cost control, inventory and maintaining inventory records. Maintains inventory control through conscientious use and careful monitoring of all food and beverage products. Communicates with management in a timely manner when supplies are needed. Ensures compliance with applicable state liquor laws and standard operating procedures provided by the management. Communicates guest requests and concerns to the Department Manager. Performs opening and closing duties which include, but are not limited to: inventory, cash control, cleaning, and restocking. Accountable for checks and cash transactions. Utilizes Point of Sales System. Serve catered parties from service or portable bars. On occasion serves meals to guests. Incorporates safe work practices in job performance. Assures that all material used by diners is clean and ready for daily operation. Maintains overall cleanliness and sanitation standards in assigned areas. Sets up steam table and salad bar according to established guidelines. Requisitions food items and supplies according to menu with supervisor’s approval. Reports shortages to the Chef or supervisor. Prepares consistent, high quality hot and cold food items, ensuring freshness and adequate supply. Breaks down hot and cold food stations at end of lunch and restocks for dinner meal period. Sweeps and mops floors and properly disposes of garbage. Incorporates safe work practices in job performance. Regular and reliable attendance. Performs other duties as required.
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Demands:
Frequently stands, walks, tastes, smells, talks, hears, and uses hands; talks or hears. Regularly reaches with hands and arms. Occasionally sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls. Regularly lifts to 50 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 100 pounds (team lift).
Regularly works in extreme heat (non-weather). Occasionally works in extreme cold (non-weather); in wet or humid conditions (non-weather); in outdoor weather conditions; near moving mechanical parts and toxic or caustic chemicals. Noise level is moderate.
Certificates/Licenses:ServSafe Certified (Food Handler & Alcohol) or TIPS equivalent.
