**The Opportunity**
  
  
Hyatt Hotels Corporation seeks an enthusiastic Banqueting Chef dePartieto join our **Park Hyatt London River Thames**  team. As Banqueting Chef dePartie, you will take ownership of a designated section within the banqueting kitchen, supporting the Sous Chef and Head Chef in delivering exceptional culinary experiences for a wide range of events and functions.
  
  
+ Section Leadership: Manage and oversee a specific section of thebanquetingkitchen, ensuring readiness,organisation, and excellence during service.
  
  
+ Menu Execution & Quality Control: Prepare and present banquet dishes to the highest standards, ensuring consistency inflavour, presentation, and timing across a variety of event formats—from intimate gatherings to large-scale conferences.
  
  
+ Inventory & Cost Management: Monitor stock levels for your section, assist with ordering, and ensure proper storage and rotation tominimisewaste and maintain freshness.
  
  
+ Training & Development: Support and mentor Demi Chefs andCommisChefs, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  
  
+ Health & Safety Compliance: Uphold rigorous food safety and hygiene standards in line with HACCP and local regulations, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
  
  
+ Operational Efficiency: Maintain equipment and workstations in your section, ensuring smooth service and adherence to kitchen protocols.
  
  
+ Collaboration with Senior Team: Work closely with the Banqueting Sous Chef and Head Chef on menu execution, event planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.

**Experience Required:**
  
  
+ Proven experience as a Chef dePartieor strong Demi Chef in a banqueting or high-volume kitchen environment
  
  
+ Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen operations, and HACCP compliance
  
  
+ Ability to manage a section independently and support junior team members
  
  
+ Committed to delivering consistent quality, presentation, and timing in a fast-paced event setting
  
  
**Experience Preferred:**
  
  
+ Formal culinary training or diploma
  
  
+ Experience in a luxury hotel or fine dining banqueting environment
  
  
+ Proven work experience or exposure to London-based hotels, with knowledge of UK hospitality standards, local compliance (e.g., Food Hygiene Rating Scheme), and service expectations for international guests
  
  
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
