Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Banquet Sales Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving banquet sales, managing client relationships, and ensuring the successful execution of events that exceed our customers' expectations.

Develop and implement strategic sales plans to maximize catering revenue and market shareProactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within the local Chennai marketConduct site visits and create detailed proposals for potential clientsNegotiate contracts and close deals with clients for catering servicesCollaborate closely with the culinary and operations teams to ensure seamless event executionManage and motivate the catering sales team to achieve individual and collective targetsOrganize and lead pre-event planning meetings to develop timelines, product lists, and logistical needsEstablish and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal departmentsAnalyze market trends and competitor activities to inform sales strategiesEnsure all events meet or exceed client expectations and company standardsHandle client feedback and resolve any issues promptly and professionallyStay updated on food and beverage trends to propose innovative catering solutionsMaintain accurate records of sales activities, contracts, and client informationParticipate in industry events and networking opportunities to promote the company's catering services

QualificationsDiploma in Tourism / Hospitality Management / Events ManagementMinimum 3 years of experience in a similar capacity with proven track record in a Five Star City HotelStrong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targetsExcellent knowledge of catering operations, event planning, and food and beverage trendsOutstanding communication, negotiation, and presentation skillsAbility to build and maintain strong client relationshipsProficient in MS Excel, Word, & PowerPointStrong leadership and team management capabilitiesDetail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skillsProblem-solving skills with the ability to make quick decisions under pressureFlexibility to work evenings and weekends as required for eventsUnderstanding of pricing strategies and contract negotiations in the catering industryFamiliarity with health and safety regulations related to food service and eventsWillingness to travel for client meetings and event sites
