Banquet Director is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all banquet and event operations within the hotel, ensuring an exceptional Guest and Member experience, optimizing sales, evaluating overall performance, and ensuring staffing levels align with demand.
What will I be doing?As a Banquet Director, your primary role is to lead the comprehensive management of banquets and events, ensuring high standards of quality and operational efficiency. Your key responsibilities include:
Overseeing and coordinating all banquet and event activities to guarantee flawless execution.
Maintaining and enhancing customer service levels to ensure ongoing guest and member satisfaction.
Regularly analyzing and evaluating guest satisfaction, driving continuous improvements in processes.
Proposing and developing strategies to expand and improve the range and quality of conference and banquet services.
Optimizing sales and controlling costs, identifying opportunities to maximize profitability.
Fostering effective communication and collaborative relationships across all hotel departments, as well as with external clients and suppliers.
Ensuring staffing levels are aligned with operational demand.
Implementing ongoing training programs for the banquet team.
Leading communication meetings, ensuring follow-up and proper documentation of actions and decisions.
Managing team performance in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Recruiting, training, motivating, and developing the banquet team to achieve departmental goals.
Ensuring compliance with hotel security protocols, fire regulations, and all health and safety legislation.

Extensive knowledge of the hotel, leisure, and service sectors
Proven track record of success in managing Conference and Banqueting operations, including the ability to drive profitability, control costs, and foster customer loyalty
Outstanding communication skills
Strong leadership skills to build, motivate, and lead a high-performing team
Significant experience in Conference and Banqueting operations at a managerial or director level within a hotel or events center
It would be advantageous if you also possess:
A degree or diploma in Hotel Management or a related field
A genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest service
