Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic Banquet Captain to join our team! As a Banquet Captain, you will be responsible for ensuring that all banquet events are executed flawlessly and to the highest standards. Your exceptional communication skills and attention to detail will allow you to lead and coordinate our team of banquet servers, ensuring that all guests receive an outstanding experience. With your positive attitude and enthusiasm for delivering exceptional service, you will work closely with our event planners and culinary team to ensure that every detail is perfect. Responsibilities Act as direct liaison between guests and staff.Display knowledge of food preparation and service.Display knowledge of physical capabilities of banquet space.Ensure banquet rooms are set up according to contract.Keep work areas clean and organized.Complete necessary paperwork as assigned.Report all unsafe conditions immediately.Assist Banquet Manager and Assistant Banquet Manager in activities relating to banquet department.Assist in the training and counseling of servers and attendants.Display knowledge of basic bar terminology and wine service.Display knowledge of opening and closing procedures.Maintain equipment related to banquets.Maintain inventory of banquet supplies.Set up portable bars.Assist in acquisition of special equipment needed for banquet functions.Attend required meetings.Brew coffee.Creatively solve unusual customer requests.Directly obtain and receive goods for banquet functionsComplete other duties as assigned by supervisor to include cross training. Qualifications One year banquet attendant/server experience Food/Beverage Service Worker Permit, where applicableExcellent leadership, communication, and organizational skillsAbility to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environmentStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailKnowledge of food and beverage service and catering operationsFlexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as neededAbility to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of timeBasic computer skillsValid driver's license, where applicable Benefits
