THE ROLE

The Banquet Bartender is responsible for positive guest interactions while accurately mixing and serving beverages to guests and servers in a friendly and efficient manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Verify age (via government issued ID) for all purchases of alcoholGreet guests, take beverage orders from event servers and directly from guestsMix drinks, cocktails and other bar beverages as ordered and in accordance with company standardsUtilize high quality spirits, liqueurs, fruits, fresh herbs and spices to create sensational drinks for event guestsEnsure that the assigned bar area is fully equipped with tools and products needed for mixing beverages and serving guestsMaintain bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beveragesPrepare inventory or purchase requisitions as needed to replenish suppliesPerform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standardsKeep work area clean and organizedOrganize Catering storage areasAttend all mandatory meetingsPerform other duties as assigned by leadership

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Must be at least 18 years oldServSafe Food Handler certificationMinimum of two (2) years’ experience as a bartender in a fast-paced, upscale food and beverage establishmentExtensive knowledge of drink recipes

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Ability to strictly adhere to company uniform standards, including the ability to maintain personal hygiene and a well-groomed appearance, in accordance with policy, at all timesMastery of and fluency in the English language – a mustExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to effectively listen and take direction/instructionAbility to effectively communicate with team members and guestsConversant in multiple languages – a plusMust have a working email that is checked frequently for changes/updates to shifts as well as other company-related informationMust be naturally personable, friendly, and welcomingNaturally creative – a plusMust possess the highest level of demonstrable professionalism and customer serviceMust possess excellent knowledge of service standards, guest relations, and etiquetteAbility to work extended hours and flexible shifts including mornings, nights, weekends and holidaysAbility to create and serve drinks expeditiouslyAbility to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu itemsA natural willingness and drive to exceed the guest expectationsAbility to effectively listen and take direction from supervisorsAbility to work independently or as part of a team during set up and execution of serviceAbility to follow and encourage the team to follow all safety policies and procedures, including but not limited to looking for and reporting all unsafe work conditionsComplete company-wide safety training and any additional job specific safety trainingReport all safety incidents (injuries and illnesses) into the company’s risk management system (Origami Risk) on the same day that the safety incident has been reported to youAbility to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds on a continuous basis

COMPENSATION

$33.00/hour + 401(k) plan.
