This event is seeking experienced Registered Nurses-RN, Pharmacist, Experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), Occupational Therapist (OT), Physical Therapist - PT (PT) and certified patient care assistants and monitor techs for multiple job opportunities within our PCU units. **RN-PROGRESSIVE CARE PCU**
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under their direction. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan, provide and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary/interim RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice. BLS certification is required. Additional certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice.
Relates throughout the interview process the experience, training and education needed to perform the job. Experience in the clinical area for which he or she is applying is desired. Must maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to the area in which they work as demonstrated through annual validations. Banner Registry and Travel acute care positions require a minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting. Experience must include working in an acute care setting within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in the specialty area. Banner Registry and Travel physician practice positions require a minimum of one year experience as a Registered Nurse in a physician practice or an acute care setting.
**RN ICU**

**Pharmacists**
POSITION SUMMARY:
As an **Acute Clinical Staff Pharmacist** with Banner Estrella Medical Center, you will be a part of a futuristic practice model that supports the effective use of pharmacists as direct patient care providers. At BEMC we have a robust Pharmacy Medication History Program. As an Acute Clinical Staff Pharmacist, you will play a vital role on our team, ensuring accurate medication dosages are prepared and utilized by healthcare providers to promote safe practices and deliver exceptional care to our patients. In addition, we have a well-established PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency Program.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Requires unrestricted Pharmacist licensure in the state of practice and a degree in Pharmacy from an accredited College of Pharmacy. Incumbents in Arizona are also required to provide the AZ Board of Pharmacy Wallet Card at time of hire. If not licensed in the state of practice, must have completed the Board of Pharmacy application process within 30 days of job offer. Must be licensed within 90 days of hire unless the delay is due to the State Board of Pharmacy. Must possess good organizational, problem solving, and computer skills. Must possess good written and verbal communication skills for interfacing with all levels of staff, physicians, patients and other contacts. Must be able to use reference tools to evaluate patient care and answer questions posed by customers. May be required to possess a valid driver’s license and be eligible for coverage under the company’s auto insurance policy.
**Registered Respiratory Therapist RRT**
POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Respiratory Therapist at Banner Estrella Medical Center you have the opportunity to work with an excellent team with high acuity and diverse patient population. Our Respiratory Care team provides care 24/7 for patients requiring services ranging from simple oxygen therapy to advanced ventilator support. The department also performs diagnostic testing and emergency medical support including CPR. The department also staffs the facility Vascular Access Team.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate or technical degree.
Proof of having passed the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT). RRT required for all new hires to the position after October 1, 2015. Incumbents in the position as of October 1, 2015 must possess their RRT by October 1, 2017. A current license in state practiced as required by state law. In the state of Nevada, all incumbents must have their Blood Gas Technologist certification. Banner Registry positions require a minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting. Experience must include working in an acute care setting within the past 12 months as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in the specialty area. Basic Life Support (BLS) required. In Home Care setting, must posses valid drivers license and be eligible for coverage under the company auto insurance policy.
Must be knowledgeable of clinical techniques, applications and equipment as typically obtained through one year of clinical experience. Must possess highly effective human relation skills necessary to interface with patients, families, staff and other healthcare personnel. Employees working for Banner Home Care AZ must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain the card for the duration of their employment.
**Occupational Therapist - OT**
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Occupational Therapy license from the State of practice. BLS certification required.

**Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant COTA**

**Certified Patient Care Assistant**
POSITION SUMMARY:
This incumbent provides routine patient care to promote patient comfort and contributes to the overall patient plan of care. This position is responsible for on-going patient data collection and documentation in the medical records. The position also performs a variety of support functions which contribute to the overall efficient operation of the nursing unit/department.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge. Current BLS certification is required.
Current BLS certification is required. Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in state of practice is required for new hires and transfers. In Tucson: Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in state of practice is required for new hires. Existing Tucson incumbents may not transfer out of their geographical market without meeting the CNA requirement. Requires skills and abilities typically attained with 1 year of medical clerical experience; preferably in a hospital or physician office setting, or prior experience in customer service. Must possess excellent organizational skills, as well as effective human relations and communication skills. Working knowledge of medical terminology and computer literacy and keyboarding skills is required.
**Monitor Technician**
POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for continuous observation of patients’ monitors, leads and/or activity and behaviors, and for reporting pertinent changes and abnormalities to the appropriate clinical staff. This position is also responsible for maintaining logs of activity and changes or behaviors in accordance with facility standards.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
Current BLS certification may be required in certain departments.
Current BLS certification is required for Banner Staffing Services (BSS) monitor technicians.
Depending on department assignment, completion of unit approved basic electrocardiogram -OR- electroencephalographic interpretation course or on the job training – and - a minimum passing score of 85% on ECG -OR- EEG test, with accurate identification of all lethal cardiac dysrhythmias - OR - epileptiform activity. Must possess a working knowledge of medical terminology. Requires effective interpersonal and problem solving skills.
**Acute CT Technologist**
Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited Radiologic Technology program. National Certification required from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT(R) or ARRT(NM)) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB (CNMT)).State Licensure required for AZ, WY, NV; includes Radiography or Nuclear Medicine and CT license prior to hire (not required in Colorado). Advanced Certification in Computed Tomography required within 18 months of hire from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - ARRT(CT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board – NMTCB (CT). Certification for BLS is required
