The Sales and Production Associate will be responsible to perform a wide variety of duties in the store and the production area. They will maintain order, create and sustain a pleasant and hospitable work environment, and maintain good customer relationships.
ResponsibilitiesGeneral
Assist in creating a pleasant and hospitable work environment and maintaining positive customer relationships.Assist, as required, with store operations.Serve all customers in a courteous and efficient maru1er.Handle all donations with care and donors with respect and courtesy.Handle merchandise as directed, always maintaining proper categories and colorization.Ensure that store is sufficiently stocked and "ragged out" in accordance with the rag out calendar.Assist in cleaning and general maintenance of store property.Immediately report theft, customer complaints, injuries, and any unsafe equipment or conditions to management.Maintain a clean and clutter-free work area.Be well-versed in and comply with Guide to Thrift Store & Donation Center Operations manual as it pertains to this position.This position will support community service and volunteers by providing an example of professional conduct, work habits, and supervision (as directed by Supervisor). Other duties may be assigned by immediate supervisor, Store Manager, Warehouse Supervisor and/or Corps Officer. Depending on store size, staffing levels, and production needs, you may be asked to perform any or all the following:Cashier/Sales Floor
Comply with all cash handling and security standards as relates to cash register operations, daily sales reports and bank depositsSort, piece, stock and "rag out" showcase merchandise and other areas as directedRestock fitting room merchandise back to racks in proper category and color codeMaintain merchandise displays as directedAnswer telephone calls in an efficient, friendly, professional mannerSorter
Sort minimum of 300 store quality garments an hour by departmentAssist moving the donations to the sorting table as neededAssist with hanging merchandise as neededAssist running clothing racks as neededHanger/Tagger
Hang and ticket a minimum of 225 pieces per hour of clothing on rolling racks from sorting table by department on the correct hanger type, and by categoryAssist moving the donations to the sorting table as neededAssist in sorting clothing as neededAssist running clothing racks as neededPricer
Price a minimum of250 garments an hour using a wide range of prices determined by the style, quality, and condition of each pieceAcquire and maintain knowledge of name brand merchandise and valueAssist moving the donations to the sorting table as neededAssist ticketing merchandise as neededAssist with running clothing racks as neededRunner
Place a minimum of 225 garments an hour from the production room to the sales floor on the proper rack by department, category, and color orderStraighten and maintain the clothing racks of the depa1tments as assignedRag out merchandise in accordance with the Rag Out CalendarAssist hanging merchandise as neededBric a Brac
Sort and clean all saleable miscellaneous merchandise donations dailyTicket all merchandise and assign an individual fair market price for each itemProcess to the sales floor required number of items to maintain stocked shelvesPlace and maintain all merchandise on sales floor in the required order and mannerRag out merchandise in accordance with the Rag Out CalendarShoes/Accessories
Sort and clean all saleable shoes, handbags, and accessory donations dailyTicket all merchandise and assign an individual fair market price for each itemProcess a to the sales floor minimum of 25 pieces/sets per hourMaintain all merchandise in the required order and manner on sales floorRag out merchandise in accordance with the Rag Out CalendaDomestics
Sort and measure all saleable linen items daily as requiredTicket all merchandise and assign an individual fair market price for each itemProcess to the sales floor minimum 150 items daily to maintain stocked shelvesMaintain all merchandise in the required order and manner on sales floorRag out merchandise in accordance with the Rag Out CalendarBooks/Records/Toys
Sort and clean all saleable merchandise daily as requiredTicket all merchandise and assign an individual fair market price for each item in accordance with established policiesProcess to the sales floor required number of items daily to maintain stocked shelvesMaintain all merchandise in the required order and manner on sales floorRag out merchandise in accordance with the Rag Out CalendarFurniture/Electrical
Sort, clean and test all electrical and furniture donations as requiredTicket all electrical merchandise using "sold as is" tickets and assign an individual fair market price for each itemComplete furniture tickets and record required information assigning a fair market price for each furniture itemPlace and maintain all merchandise in the required order and mam1er on sales floorMark dow11 furniture items on sales floor in accordance with policyRag out merchandise in accordance with the Rag Out CalendarReceiving Donations/Maintenance
