**Job Title: Storekeeper/Warehouse Handler** **Job Description** The Storekeeper is responsible for efficiently receiving, storing, issuing, ordering, and recording store items and hazardous materials within a warehouse setting. This role requires the management of supply flow between departments and work sections to ensure seamless operations. **Responsibilities** + Perform all functions related to receiving, storing, issuing, ordering, and recording store items and hazardous materials in a warehouse. + Expedite the flow of supply parts, tools, and materials for shops or subcontractors and coordinate supply actions between departments. + Receipt materials arriving via commercial carriers, unload, check-in, and process related documentation. + Check for damage and coordinate resolution of discrepancies or process claims for freight damage. + Check-in and issue out tools and equipment as required. + Research and identify compatible/incompatible chemicals for correct storage and provide MSDS information. + Determine the requirements for reshipping material by providing proper container sizes. + Perform duties associated with the consolidation, repackaging, labeling, and transporting of materials, including driving forklifts, high lifts, and medium-weight vehicles. + Input data into computer database systems and prepare reports and track data as directed. + Perform other related duties as assigned. **Essential Skills** + High School education or equivalent with a minimum of three years' experience in supply or logistics-related work. + Ability to input routine supply document entries using a computer system. + Three years' experience utilizing computers for supply-related work. + Possession and maintenance of a valid State-issued driver's license with a good driving record. + Experience operating material handling equipment such as pallet movers and forklifts (gas, diesel, and electric) from 2,000 pounds to 10,000-pound capacity and high lift/picker equipment up to thirty-five feet above ground. + Capability to lift 50 pounds. + Completion of a company-provided forklift operators course within 30 days of hire. + Good communication skills for a service team environment. + Ability to perform specialized tasks requiring independent judgment such as identifying spare parts, selecting substitutes, and determining interchangeable items. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Familiarity with the military supply system is a plus. **Why Work Here?** This opportunity offers a chance to work in a dynamic environment where your skills and expertise will contribute to the seamless operations of a vital logistics system.
