The Senior Counsel is a senior professional position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department in an effort to manage and direct day-to-day legal activities in coordination with the Legal team. The overall objective of this role is to provide legal support, advice and guidance across a broad range of practice areas. **Responsibilities:** + Manage day to day activities of Legal team(s) within a country, product or sub-unit + Evaluate employee performance and provide recommendations for pay increases, promotions, terminations, etc. + Provide legal advisory services to business managers and defend legal matters + Supervise external counsel and resolve moderately complex issues + Continuously stay informed of regulatory changes, new regulations, internal policy changes and developments in the law + Allocate and coordinate resources and conduct planning and budgeting activities, as needed + Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards. **Qualifications:** + 6-10 years of relevant experience + Valid Bar license to practice law + Banking/financial industry experience or experience from big law firm + Extensive knowledge and understanding of area of responsibility + Comprehensive knowledge of local, state and federal laws and practices + Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication + Proven analytical and organizational skills **Education:** + Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience + Master's degree preferred This job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed. Ubicación: CDMX (Santa Fe o Moras) – Modalidad híbrida Descripción del puesto: Estamos en búsqueda de un(a) Abogado(a) senior con amplia experiencia en derecho contractual y profundo entendimiento del entorno tecnológico, para liderar negociaciones complejas y asesorar estratégicamente a las áreas de Tecnología. Esta posición tiene alto grado de autonomía y visibilidad dentro del equipo legal, contribuyendo directamente en la mitigación de riesgos contractuales. Responsabilidades: • Liderar la revisión y negociación de contratos de tecnología de alto impacto. • Asesorar jurídicamente a líderes de Tecnología en decisiones estratégicas. • Coordinar temas legales con áreas como regulatorio, inmobiliario y administrativo. • Identificar riesgos legales y proponer soluciones preventivas. • Interactuar con autoridades y organismos reguladores cuando sea requerido. Requisitos: • Licenciatura en Derecho con título. • Más de 10 años de experiencia jurídica, preferentemente en el sector bancario, financiero o tecnológico. • Sólido conocimiento en contratos tecnológicos, propiedad intelectual, cumplimiento normativo y marcos regulatorios. • Inglés avanzado (fluido en redacción y conversación legal). • Capacidad de liderazgo, visión estratégica y toma de decisiones.
