PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:Collects corrugated waste throughout plant and determined if board can be salvaged.   Operates the shredded/baler to dispose of unsalvageable board.

 

SAFETY PROCEDURES:Read and understand SAFETY RULES & HOUSEKEEPING GUIDELINES and receive training in proper operating procedures

 

Receive instructions in the following:Fork Truck operationHearing protectionSafety shoesMoving machineryConveyor safetyLifting and pushing/pullingEmergency stopsDanger area around shredder/balerPersonal protective equipment

 

HOUSEKEEPING:Perform daily cleanup of areaDump trash as neededPerform extra clean up during downtimeMaintain neat & orderly area

 

DUTIES:Collects waste throughout plantSeparates salvageable stock from badSorts salvageable stock for pads & slitter materialShreds & bales onto rail carLoads bales onto rail carWeigh, tag & log balesLoads wire spools on balerUn-jam system if clogged
