Balance Sheet Reconciliation Senior Manager
**Balance Sheet Reconciliation Senior Manager** Balance Sheet Governance defines and enforces the policy requirements and expectations for Citi’s balance sheet account ownership, reconciliation, aging, issues remediation and validation to ensure completeness, accuracy and proper classification and presentation of balances. This includes defining roles and responsibilities for Citi colleagues involved in these processes — and the escalation, enforcement and correcting of exceptions or aged balance sheet items. There are a number of opportunities at the C14 level within Balance Sheet Governance to work across Finance and with partner functions to ensure the governance and oversight over Citi’s Balance Sheet becomes industry leading. These opportunities cover the following responsibilities: **Policy and Compliance Monitoring** + On-going maintenance and enhancement of Balance Sheet Reconciliation Policies and Procedures + Driving Compliance Monitoring around Balance Sheet Reconciliation Processes + Supporting/Driving Balance Sheet Training + Corrective Action Plan Tracking and Escalation, working with Business Leads **Corporate Business Lead** + Face off to Business/Functions/Controllers on all Balance Sheet Reconciliation related matters + Managing regional governance meetings + Working with Business Area and other support functions to ensure adherence to Balance Sheet standards/policies + Providing advisory/guidance on issue investigation/resolution + Ensuring issues identified are resolved or escalated accordingly **Account Ownership Automation Process Manager** + Providing support and oversight of tools/systems used to manage the monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliation attestation cycle + Driving initiatives around process enhancements for month end reporting cycle + Driving efficiency and effectiveness of Balance Sheet Account assignment process and ownership dispute resolution (in association with other areas) + Working with Digital team to automate tools and reporting being performed **Metrics Generation & Reporting** + Driving initiatives around the generation of consolidated Balance Sheet Reconciliation metrics and exception reporting for key forums + Supporting ongoing enhancements to stakeholder reporting processes + Assessing ad-hoc reporting requests and working with support functions on effective utilisation of self-service tools being developed + Working with Digital team to automate and enhance reporting being performed **Ideal background:** + Proven experience dealing with control governance + 8+ years of experience in financial services field, with at least 3 years focus on Balance Sheet Governance + Ability to collaborate across businesses, regions and control functions + Demonstrable people, project and change management skills + Strong communication skills; ability to effectively present/influence and to assess and critically challenge information and processes + Bachelors degree, potentially Masters degree and managerial experience + Good command of spoken and written English **Benefits** By joining Citi Hungary, you will not only be part of a business casual workplace with a hybrid working model (up to 2 days working at home per week), but also receive a competitive compensation package and enjoy a whole host of additional benefits that support you (and your family) to be well, live well and save well: + Cafeteria Program + Home Office Allowance (for colleagues working in hybrid work models) + Paid Parental Leave Program (maternity and paternity leave) + Private Medical Care Program and onsite medical rooms at our offices + Pension Plan Contribution to voluntary pension fund + Group Life Insurance + Employee Assistance Program + Access to a wide variety of learning and development programs, online course libraries and upskilling platforms, such as Udemy and Degreed + Flexible work arrangements to support you in managing work - life balance + Career progression opportunities across geographies and business lines + Socially active employee communities with diverse networking opportunities Alongside these benefits Citi is committed to ensuring our workplace is where everyone feels comfortable coming to work as their whole self every day.
