Job descriptionCreating and developing new recipes for various baked goods, including seasonal items, and ensuring consistency in recipe execution.Preparing a wide range of baked goods, such as cakes, cookies, pies, breads, and other pastries, using both traditional and modern techniques.Monitoring inventory levels of baking ingredients, ordering supplies, and ensuring proper storage of ingredients.Ensuring the quality and consistency of all baked goods, including taste, texture, and appearance.Maintaining a clean and organized baking area, adhering to food safety and sanitation regulations, and ensuring proper hygiene practices.Supervising and training junior baking staff, providing guidance and support in baking techniques and procedures.Collaborating with the kitchen team to develop and update menus, considering customer preferences and seasonal availability.Ensuring all baking equipment is properly maintained and functioning correctly.Keeping up-to-date with the latest food trends, baking techniques, and industry best practices.Ability to create visually appealing desserts and pastries, including decorating cakes and other baked goods.Qualifications2-5 years of experience in a pastry chef or baker role, with a strong understanding of baking techniques.Meticulous attention to detail in measurements, mixing, and presentation.A thorough understanding of food safety.Excellent time management skills to manage baking schedules and production timelines.Strong communication skills to collaborate with the kitchen team and supervise staff.Additional information
