Reporting to the Converting lead hand the individual is knowledgeable in the quality of the product required, machine efficiency, run time utilization, safety and housekeeping and is capable to perform a complete changeover on any piece of equipment.

Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:

Read the job docket to confirm bag size, lip size, seal location, wicket size, land area, perforations, and handles. Complete changeover on any piece of equipment, changing product sizes. Adjust controls to produce bag to customer specifications. Organize materials for each manufacturing resource. Able to lead the converting team when necessary. Train machine operators as well setup trainees. Performs QC checks \n

Must be able to work rotating 12 hour continental shifts.

Must be a Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident. Demonstrated leadership experience Strong leadership in safety. Hands on experience with mechanical work. Good basic math skills Ability to read a ruler and understand imperial measurement Good verbal and written command of English Problem solving skills Capable of working independently and as a team Must be dependable Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.

Preference will be given to those candidates that have prior experience in Leadership as well setup experience with plastic bag forming manufacturing equipment
