Badge and Access Control Technician
Position Summary...

What you'll do...

Manages and verifies badge credentialing by answering calls and questions from associates and non-associates gathering and researching employment information and policies to determine associate and non-associate badge eligibility ensuring proper request forms have been completed and submitted according to policy and clearances requested providing up to date information regarding badge status and facility access to management explaining to badge requestors badge denial credentialing issues or concerns and identifying opportunities for improvement to recommend procedure or process changes to management.

Supports and implements processes related to emergency situations by identifying emergency situations communicating emergency situations escalating or assisting in emergency situations determining priorities of action in emergency situations and assisting corporate security in executing emergency evacuations.Issues badges to associates and non-associates by greeting associates and non-associates entering badge office assessing associate and non-associate needs communicating permanent badge process reviewing badge and access forms verifying picture identification prior to issuing a badge informing associates and non-associates of building procedures and physical access protecting and keeping associate and non-associate information private and secure according to company and regulatory compliance policies and ensuring appropriate facility access.Monitoring badge use by generating badge activity and inactivity reports to support business partners and recommending badge inactivation or badge credential and clearance changes to management.Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies data and resources collaborating with managers coworkers customers and other business partners identifying priorities deadlines and expectations carrying out tasks communicating progress and information determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities and adapting to and learning from change difficulties and feedback.Complies with company policies procedures and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans using the Open Door Policy: and applying these in executing business processes and practices.Respect the individual: Demonstrates and encourages respect for others drives a positive associate and customer member experience for all embraces differences in people cultures ideas and experiences supports workplaces where associated feel seen and connected through a culture of belonging so all associates thrive and perform contributes to an environment allowing everyone to bring their best selves to work.Respect the individual: Demonstrates engagement and commitment to the team developing others through feedback coaching mentoring and developmental opportunities and recognizes others contributions and accomplishments.Respect the individual: Builds strong and trusting relationships with team members and business partners works collaboratively to achieve objectives communicates with impact and listens attentively to a range of audiences and demonstrates energy and positivity for own work.Act with Integrity: Maintains and promotes the highest standards of integrity ethics andcompliance models the Walmart values and leads by example to foster our culture supports Walmart’s goal of becoming a regenerative company by making a positive impact for associates customers and the world around us by creating a sense of belonging eliminating waste participating in local giving.Act with Integrity: Follows the law our code of conduct and company policies and encourages others to do the same supports an environment where associates feel comfortable sharing concerns reinforces our culture of nonretaliation listens to concerns raised by associates and takes action acts with accountability for achieving results in a way that is consistent with our values.Act with Integrity: Is consistently humble self-aware honest and transparent. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
