Scope of Position:

 

The Plant Financial Analyst position functions as a business support person to the plant and financial management team. The role is instrumental in bringing analytical analyses to leadership team to enable decisions that directly impact business performance and outcomes. The position supports month-end close and special projects as requested, and works closely with manufacturing to understand issues and how they impact the financial results as well as educate/inform department(s) on cost divers and variances. You will provide accounting support through review and validation of material transactions and processes to increase the accuracy of our financial statements. JBS Prepared Foods offers opportunities to identify, lead, and drive process improvements, while working in a team environment and interact with multiple functions across the organization.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

Work to implement and apply cost accounting policies and procedures.Support Plant Controller’s efforts for implementing and maintaining internal controls.Analyze financial performance and create action plans for unfavorable gaps.Prepare and process assigned daily/monthly journal entries.Establish processes to reduce production costs.Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicatorsSupport the local plant budgeting process of the fixed and variable expenses.Prepares, reports actual vs. budget results on monthly and quarterly presentations.Maintains the packaging standards costing files and tracks daily performances of packaging to earned standards.

Skills and Qualifications:

 

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required3+ years of directly related experience requiredStrong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail is crucial for this roleProficiency in Excel and Power PointSAP experience is highly preferredExcellent problem solving skillsAction oriented with ability to multi-taskTeam player with a positive, can do attitude and agility to multiple work streamsAn individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

 

 Physical Demands/ Work Environment:

 

This role is based in a processing facility and individuals in this role are expected to spend time on the plant floor. While at the facility, employee will be subject to extreme temperatures, humid/wet environments and other hazards common to a food manufacturing facility
