With continuous learning, career growth, and a supportive culture, IBM provides the opportunities to build expertise and shape the infrastructure that drives progress. **Your role and responsibilities** * Design, develop, and maintain high-performance applications using Golang (preferred) and Python. * Take complete ownership of features from requirement analysis to design, implementation, and test execution. * Build robust, efficient, and maintainable software components for cloud-native environments. * Deploy and manage solutions on OpenShift and Kubernetes platforms. * Collaborate with teams to design and implement network-aligned features and services. * Troubleshoot and optimize networking components in distributed systems. * Ensure scalability, reliability, and security of applications. * Develop comprehensive test cases to validate functionality and edge scenarios. * Document designs, workflows, and operational procedures clearly and concisely. **Required technical and professional expertise** * 10-15 years of professional experience in software development. * Strong programming expertise in Golang (preferred) and Python. * Good understanding of data structures and algorithms for efficient code development. * Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, and containerized environments. * Good understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, etc.). * Comfortable working with Linux and version control systems (Git). * Ability to own and deliver features end-to-end, including design, coding, testing, and deployment. * Strong system design and architectural skills for building scalable solutions. * Attention to code quality, performance optimization, and maintainability. * Ability to design and curate comprehensive test cases and plans to ensure robust coverage and quality of developed features. * Experience working on network-aligned areas such as SDN, NFV, or network automation. **Preferred technical and professional experience** * Experience working with networking concepts and technologies such as switching, routing, and related protocols. * Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana). * Experience with APIs (REST, gRPC) and structured data formats (JSON, YAML).
