Responsibilities

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Back End Revenue Cycle Analyst to support our hospital billing and collections operations. This role is responsible for managing reporting and analytics related to back-end revenue cycle workflows, with a focus on improving follow-up processes, identifying work queue inefficiencies, and tracking payer response trends. The analyst will play a key role in delivering insights that support timely claim resolution and enhance overall performance.

Develop, maintain, and distribute reports and dashboards that monitor billing and collections follow-up performance.Identify and analyze issues and bottlenecks within billing and collections work queues to support operational effectiveness.Track payment activity and monitor payer response trends to ensure timely follow-up and resolution.Collaborate with billing and collections teams to provide data-driven recommendations for process improvement.Support the development of key performance indicators (KPIs) for back-end revenue cycle functions.Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility across all reporting outputs.
Requirements

Education:

High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Additional Preferences

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Finance, Analytics, or related field (or equivalent experience).

2+ years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle, data analytics, or hospital billing and collections
Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, charts) and Tableau (dashboard creation and data visualization).

Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Ability to interpret complex datasets and present findings clearly to operational stakeholders.

Preferred Attributes

Working knowledge of hospital billing and collections processes.Familiarity with revenue cycle data structures and reporting methodologies.Experience with Epic, Cerner, or other hospital billing systems preferred.Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to data integrity and operational efficiency.Effective communication and collaboration skills.
