ABOUT THE ROLE

 

 

The Business System Analyst is responsible for conceptualizing and implementing innovative digital solutions for RBH, including process mapping, requirements elicitation and management, design recommendations, testing, production deployment, training and documentation, and measuring and monitoring solutions. The analyst is a digital subject matter expert working alongside the product manager, product owner, business teams, technical teams, and other stakeholders to address business needs by developing new digital solutions and enhancing existing applications.

 

 

YOUR DAY TO DAY

 

Digital Process/Technical Expertise:

 

Provide digital expertise to business stakeholders to address problems and identify opportunities through technical solutions or business process improvements.  Deliver presentations to business teams and facilitate workshops, ideation, and design thinking sessions.    Measure and monitor solutions for effectiveness and proactively seek opportunities to improve current digital processes and systems by researching emerging approaches, technologies, solutions, and techniques.\"

 

Write User Stories

 

Work with business stakeholders to elicit, understand, define, and document business requirements, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria for both product and process enhancements.  Lead business requirements sessions to develop detailed user stories, tasks, and system design.  Liaise with technical teams and external vendors to assist with the translation of business requirements into technical solutions. Assist in designing and delivering compelling UX/UI solutions and provide UX/UI guidance to external developers to provide improved customer experiences. 

 

Test & Operationalize

Develop and review test cases, perform or facilitate user acceptance testing, and support business and technical stakeholders in the initial stages after deployment.  Collaborate with developers to test and verify that solutions meet business requirements.

 

Document and map digital processes

Design, document, and maintain business and system processes and rules while working with business partners to optimize the overall landscape.

 

Train and communicate

 

Facilitate orientation and education of business and technical users on the digital products throughout the product lifecycle.  Build and maintain release and training documentation.

 

 

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

 

 

· Bachelor’s degree in management information systems, Commerce, Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or related experience.

· Been a part of an Agile BA-DEV Team responsible for CRM, eCommerce, Apps, API’s and Integrations for new or existing applications, 3 to 5 years

· BA experience with CRM platforms like Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or other and eComm tech such as Shopify, OpenCart, SAP Hybris, etc.

· An understanding of API technologies, native and web Apps

· Business Analysis Certification (CBAP, PMI-PBA, CCBA) is a plus

· Excellent Analytical and Communication skills to articulate business pain points and translate them to actionable user stories using Jira, Confluence, Visio, etc.

· Superior listening, critical thinking, and writing skills. You are expected to take complex, disparate ideas and distill them into simple, workable concepts by asking the right/tough questions!

· Managed discussions with business users and DEV on requirements before, during, and after project implementation to support cross-departmental initiatives in process-driven environments

· Created and maintained technical documentation and knowledge-based articles to document new projects/programs, daily operations, or commonly faced issues

· Experience in writing test cases, process change requests, facilitating UAT, supporting installation, deployment, and troubleshooting system issues.

· A team player in the Scrum Team with good time management and organizational skills – You will work on projects with tight and competing deadlines!

· This is a Toronto-based role, and the candidate should be within a commutable distance of the RBH Head Office in North York
