**Slitter Operator** **Job Description** Join our team as a B-Shift Slitter Operator, working from 6pm to 6:15am, from Sunday to Tuesday, with every other Saturday required. You will be responsible for reading a bill of materials, setting up and threading film into the machine, and programming it for optimal performance. Your tasks will also include taking products off the machine, stacking them in containers, and preparing them for shipping. **Responsibilities** + Read and interpret bills of materials. + Perform machine setups and thread film into machines. + Set blades to the proper width and program the machine for length, speed, and tension. + Remove products from the machine, stack them in containers, and send to shipping. + Set up the leader table with the appropriate tapes, leaders, and trailers. + Retrieve proper cores from inventory. + Conduct basic troubleshooting by adjusting speed, winding tension, and brake tension. + Recover from film breaks by stopping machines, cutting broken film, and re-threading. + Perform quality checks using calipers. **Essential Skills** + Mechanical aptitude and/or experience in machine operation or manufacturing. + Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. + Competency in machine setup, changeovers, and troubleshooting. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Prior experience in slitting, roll-to-roll, conversion, paper cutting/labeling/film is a significant advantage. + Experience with thin film and converting lines is beneficial. **Why Work Here?** We prioritize employee appreciation with regular events like pizza parties and popcorn Thursdays. Shorts are also permitted **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hebron, KY. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.75 - $21.75/hr.
