We are seeking a committed Azure Data Engineer to be responsible for creation, optimization of data and pipeline architectures, data collection and data parsing.
Job Description:
The Data engineer works in an agile team with other data engineers in the team and aligns with an architect, competences and platform teams on solution design challenges and choices made to address the business requirements.
In particular, we want to highlight a few key qualities that are essential for this role: Proven experiences with the must have requirements on the tech stack (see below). A proactive mindset: someone who enjoys taking on new challenges and is eager to explore and implement new ideas. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. Tech Stack:
Mandatory: Python. SQL and NoSQL databases. PySpark (Structured streaming & batch). Terraform (Must: theorie, nice: praktijk ervaring). Experience with Azure: ADLS, Databricks, EventHub, EventGrid, SQL DW, Azure Functions, Serverless Architecture. Preferred: Experience with ARM Templates, Azure Data Factory. Knowledge of Kubernetes and Google Cloud Platform. Machine learning and AI. Qualifications: Previous experience as an Azure Data Engineer or similar role. Experience building and optimizing ‘big data’ data pipelines, architectures, and data sets. Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets. The ability to design and implement well written code. Ability to work to tight deadlines. Ability to test the data from source to the presentation layer. Ability to support/troubleshoot data pipelines. Confident and concise communication skills, with the ability to drive alignment, collaboration, and efficiency within teams. Responsibilities: Assure that data is cleansed, mapped, transformed, and otherwise optimized for storage and use according to business and technical requirements. Develop and maintain innovative Azure solutions. Solution design using Microsoft Azure services and other tools. The ability to automate tasks and deploy production standard code (with unit testing, continuous integration, versioning etc.). Load transformed data into storage and reporting structures in destinations including data warehouse, high speed indexes, real-time reporting systems and analytics applications. Build streaming data pipelines to collectively bring together data. Other responsibilities include extracting data, troubleshooting and maintaining the data warehouse.
