AWS Platform Engineer – Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps

About the Role

We are looking for an AWS Platform Engineer to support a multi-account AWS ecosystem for a data-driven enterprise. You will work closely with infrastructure, data and application teams to manage and automate platform operations across various environments and a central data platform built on Databricks, Delta Lake and Unity Catalog.

This role is ideal for someone who understands the nuances of inter/intra-account networking, access provisioning and infrastructure automation in AWS.

What You’ll Do

Platform Operations & Infrastructure Management

Manage AWS infrastructure across multiple accounts, including VPCs, routing, load balancers, IAM roles & security groups

Support networking setups such as Transit Gateway, VPC Peering, PrivateLink and VPN connections

Maintain ingress/egress controls and connectivity between various environments and the central data platform

Automation & DevOps

Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like AWS CodePipeline, GitHub Actions or Jenkins

Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform or CloudFormation

Collaboration & Support

Collaborate with data engineering teams to support data workflows built on Databricks, Glue, Lambda and S3, ensuring seamless integration with platform infrastructure.

Manage access provisioning and troubleshoot infrastructure and networking issues across development and production environments leveraging IAM

Must-Have Skills

Strong hands-on experience with AWS networking (VPC, Transit Gateway, Route 53, VPN, NAT, Security Groups)

Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation)

Experience with CI/CD tools and automation workflows

Solid understanding of IAM, access control, and security best practices

Familiarity with container orchestration (ECS or EKS) and Linux system administration

Nice-to-Have Skills

Exposure to Databricks, Delta Lake, or Unity Catalog

Scripting skills in Python or Bash

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

5+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure

AWS certifications (Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer) are a plus
