As an AWS Cloud Migration & Modernization Engineer with Koniag supporting our customer at FPAC, you will play a critical role in guiding our organization's journey to the cloud. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing the migration and modernization of numerous servers and their associated applications to the AWS cloud platform. Your expertise will be crucial in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and cost-effective AWS solutions, leveraging services and best practices to transform our legacy infrastructure. **Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:** **Assessment & Planning:** + Assess existing on-premises servers and applications to determine cloud readiness, including dependencies and compatibility. + Collaborate with stakeholders to identify key functionalities and prioritize workloads for migration and modernization. + Develop migration blueprints, outlining timelines, resource allocation, and cost estimations. **Migration Execution:** + Utilize AWS migration tools and methodologies, including Lift and Shift (rehosting), to transfer servers and applications to the AWS platform. + Implement and manage AWS services such as EC2, containers (ECS/EKS), S3, VPC, and Lambda. + Design, deploy, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure solutions using AWS services and best practices. + Ensure data consistency during migration using services like AWS DataSync and AWS Database Migration Service (DMS). **Modernization & Optimization:** + Implement AWS modernization strategies, including adopting microservices architecture, containerization, and serverless functions. + Leverage AWS-native tools and services to optimize cloud infrastructure performance and cost. + Develop and maintain automation scripts and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform). + Configure and implement CI/CD pipelines to automate application deployments. **Security & Compliance:** + Collaborate with security teams to implement cloud security measures, including access controls, encryption (KMS), and threat detection (GuardDuty, Security Hub). + Ensure compliance with relevant standards using AWS compliance programs and tools like AWS Config and AWS Audit Manager. **Monitoring & Support:** + Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure performance, logs, and security threats using tools like AWS CloudWatch and AWS X-Ray. + Provide ongoing technical support, address escalations, and participate in incident response activities. + Provide technical guidance to client teams as they adopt and manage AWS services. **Requirements:** + Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. + Experience in designing, implementing, and managing solutions on AWS, with a focus on migration and modernization. + Hands-on experience with AWS services like EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, and CloudFormation. + Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell. + Strong understanding of networking concepts and security best practices in the cloud. + Experience with DevOps principles and tools for CI/CD. + Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes (ECS, EKS). + AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer are desirable. + Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills. **Desirable skills:** + Experience with database migration services. + Knowledge of various migration strategies (Rehost, Replatform, Refactor, Repurchase, Retire, Retain). + Experience with hybrid and multi-cloud environments. **Our Equal Employment Opportunity Policy** The company is an equal opportunity employer.
