We are seeking an AVS Digital Project Manager with a strong background in customer-facing IT implementation projects—ideally within the healthcare sector and involving Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions. This role is critical to the successful delivery, integration, and adoption of connected digital solutions for healthcare customers.
You will lead implementation projects with cross-functional teams—including sales engineers, digital architects, clinical application specialists, and technical services—through seamless onboarding and optimization of our SaaS platforms integrated with medical devices. Your primary focus is to drive smooth, timely implementation experiences and ensure satisfaction for both internal stakeholders and healthcare providers such as surgeons, nurses, and technicians. Typical project timelines range from 1 to 3 weeks.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need a strong combination of project-based implementation experience, business acumen, a sales-oriented mindset, and operational execution discipline. This is a strategic, customer-facing role that demands clear communication, adaptability, emotional intelligence, and collaborative leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Lead onboarding and integration of digital platforms (AVS and future digital health technologies)
Manage customer-facing implementation projects and ensure technical delivery
Apply understanding of digital connectivity and clinical workflows to deliver value
Orchestrate internal teams (Sales, Service, Clinical, IT) to align on implementation goals
Track project milestones, deliverables, and dependencies
Facilitate meetings, lead crucial conversations, and ensure alignment across functions
Maintain and update project documentation, operational checklists, and templates
Proactively identify risks and ensure timely mitigation
Leverage project data to generate insights and support continuous improvement
Participate in operational excellence initiatives and contribute to scalable processes
Translate business goals and OKRs into actionable implementation plans
Communicate clearly and consistently across all organizational levels
Support change management and stakeholder engagement
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
5+ years in project management, IT implementation, or business operations in a cross-functional environment
Fluent in English & Japanese (excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, with the ability to confidently engage in daily conversations with native English speakers, including customers, clinical stakeholders, and internal teams.)- Additional languages a plus.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience with digital execution, performance metrics, and continuous improvement
Demonstrated ability to lead projects in complex, uncertain, or ambiguous environments
Familiarity with DICOM, HL7, FHIR, EHR, and network-connected systems (no hands-on config needed)
Technical understanding of healthcare IT systems or digital workflows
Skilled in negotiation, influence, and conflict resolution
Strong business acumen and ability to align execution to strategic priorities
Proficient in project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Jira, Microsoft Project)
Experience in the healthcare or medical device industry
Preferred Qualifications
PMP or equivalent certification
ITIL certification
Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher)
Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)
Operational excellence or business process mapping background
Experience with connected medical devices or digital health platforms
Understanding of healthcare regulations and data privacy (HIPAA, GDPR, HITECH, FDA guidelines)
