Job Summary:
The Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Compliance is a strategic leadership role responsible for ensuring the organization's adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, policies, and ethical standards. This position plays a critical role in safeguarding the organization against regulatory risks, promoting a culture of compliance, and driving continuous improvement in compliance processes and systems. Providing expertise to senior leaders, compliance officers, and business units to ensure compliance across the enterprise.
Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Audit, Monitoring and Reporting: Audit and manage audit activity of key areas of regulatory compliance, establish monitoring systems to track compliance activities and report findings to senior leadership.
Investigations: Lead internal investigations into compliance-related issues, ensuring thorough documentation and reporting of findings.
Team Leadership and promoting ethical standards: Manage and mentor the compliance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Promote and uphold the highest standards of ethical behavior and corporate governance within the organization.
Compliance Oversight: Lead and manage the compliance function across the organization, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Risk Assessment: Conduct regular compliance risk assessments to identify potential areas of vulnerability and implement corrective actions.
Training and Education: Design and deliver compliance training programs for employees at all levels to promote awareness and understanding of regulatory requirements.
Performs other duties as assigned

Required Minimum Education:Bachelors, Health Administration - RequiredMasters Health Administration or Masters Law-Preferred or Masters Nursing-PreferredRequired Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):
All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.
Required Minimum Experience:
Minimum 10 years experience in health care compliance preferably in a healthcare system and/or hospital setting. With an in-depth knowledge of healthcare laws, regulations and industry standards as well as compliance management systems and tools. Required
