As a candidate, you are encouraged to ask compensation related questions and have an open dialogue with your recruiter who can provide you more specific details for this role. **Job Description:** The AVP Audit - TDS is responsible for overseeing, planning, executing and/or reviewing audit activities for the various auditable entities that fall within TD Securities. The Audit Director leads diverse teams of professionals in the overall management of the audit function. **Depth & Scope:** + Provides people management leadership by hiring the best talent, setting goals, developing staff, managing employee performance and compensation decisions, promoting teamwork and handling any/all disciplinary actions, as required + Designs, plans, and executes the Audit Plan for TD Securities US and Global Finance + Leads the broader divisional mandate to strengthen the control culture across the organization + Builds and maintains a team focused on enterprise-wide compliance, beyond local requirements + Develops and sustains strong relationships with key stakeholders + Ensures the function is staffed with appropriately skilled individuals, supplementing with subject matter experts (SMEs) as necessary + Attracts, develops, and retains key talent, fostering a positive and engaging work environment + Delivers a risk-based Audit Plan consistently throughout the year + Ensures audit work meets divisional quality standards + Identifies significant control gaps in audited areas and provides clear, timely, and comprehensive reporting on key control issues + Manages the audit function’s financial budget within plan and risk parameters + Stays current on evolving regulatory expectations and industry best practices to support continuous improvement + Provides ongoing leadership for divisional priorities, including Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, Colleague Engagement, Career Development, and Diversity & Inclusion + Communicates a clear and compelling vision that inspires followership and alignment across the team **Education & Experience:** + Undergraduate degree required; postgraduate degree preferred + Professional accreditation such as FINRA licenses, CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) + 15+ years of relevant industry and/or audit experience + Strong understanding of Broker-Dealer operations, Investment Banking, Research, and Capital Markets + Senior leadership experience, ideally with a financial management background + Proven success in developing and executing strategies that deliver both short- and long-term results + Expert knowledge of audit principles, practices, and applicable securities laws and regulations + Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess risk, identify issues, and challenge the status quo + Strong decision-making abilities and the capacity to work independently with minimal supervision + Demonstrated project and time management skills; able to meet tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities + Effective communicator with a strong track record of presenting results across all levels of management + Skilled in negotiation, stakeholder engagement, and balancing input to reach optimal outcomes + Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, including the ability to influence, align, and motivate diverse teams + Proven ability to build relationships and drive results through collaboration and positive influence + Experience working cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders across the organization + Strategic planning and process management expertise + Resilience under pressure and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset + Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and executive presence **Who We Are** TD Securities offers a wide range of capital markets products and services to corporate, government, and institutional clients who choose us for our innovation, execution, and experience.
