Assistant Vice President (AVP) – Access C&E

Role Overview

The AVP– Access C&Eis responsible formanaging and directing the planning, design, construction, and optimization of wireless& wirelinenetwork infrastructure within a designated region. This senior leaderprovidesexpert engineering guidance, leads multidisciplinary teams, ensures compliance with all industry and company standards, coordinates with both internal and external stakeholders, and drives adoption of advanced technologies and continuous improvement initiatives to support business goals and operational excellence.This role also includes a critical interface and partnership with internal product, P&L,sales, and marketing teams to collaborate in planning and penetrating the deployed fiber and wireless assets for revenue growth.

This position requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the Alpharetta, GA location. Relocation is offered.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Experience–lead the team to a customer first culture with a deep analytical& AI led approach to fiber led network extended by 5G,WiFi, and/or satellite connectivity.The leader is expected to be able to lead subject matter experts into deep inspection of the advanced connectivity networkNetwork Planning & Design-Lead the planning, design, installation, and optimization ofaccessinfrastructure,both wireline and wireless.Project Management-Oversee full lifecycle management of projects, frominceptionto completion. Coordinate with vendors foraccessbuilds, manage schedules, resources, and budgets, and integrate fiber and mobility builds to ensure seamless deployment.Team Leadership & Development-Mentor and develop a high-performing team of engineers and technicians. Manage strategic relationships and lead vendor negotiations.Compliance & Standards-Ensure all construction and engineering activities meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal company policies.Cross-functional Coordination &Expertise-Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders. Provide expert engineeringsupport, andchampion the implementation of advanced technologies and process improvements.Environmental Compliance-Oversee and contribute to compliance with environmental laws and regulations, including those related to fuel tanks, generators, hazardous materials, construction projects, and emissions.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) in Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).10+ years of relevant experience in network engineering, construction, or telecommunications.Demonstrated experience leading large teams, including supervisors and senior staff.Strong background in wireless& wirelineinfrastructure and engineering.Proventrack recordin project management, budget oversight, and vendor coordination.Knowledge of regulatory, industry, and environmental compliance requirements.Excellent presenterand the ability to motivate the employee base to rally around the AT&T vision to deliver a seamless, converged, AI driven,low costconnectivity infrastructure. 

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced degree or professionalcertifications(e.g., PMP, PE).Experience managing fiber and mobility builds in large-scale environments.Familiarity with emerging technologies such asPON,5G, Open RAN,WiFi, Satellite,AIand network virtualization.Experience leading cross-functional initiatives in a large organization.Demonstrated ability to influence hiring, promotions, and strategic decisions.

Our AVPof Access Eng and Constructionearns between$206,900k to $310,300kUSDannuallynot to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience,expertise, and education/training.
