We are looking for a dedicated AVP Academic Partnerships like you to be a part of our team. **Job Summary and Qualifications** The AVP, Academic Partnership is responsible for supporting the development, implementation and evaluating a systems approach to academic partnerships within HCA Healthcare. This includes maintaining a collaborative approach with the division AVPs, Academic Partnerships to support activities related to student onboarding and clinical rotation assignments; education affiliation agreement oversight, and additional coordination relating to students and academic partnerships. **What you will do in this role:** **Strategy** + Support the design and development of corporate and division frameworks and strategy to prioritize, delegate, and execute initiatives that improve division and facility alignments with local and regional nursing schools. + Support the development and operationalize a systematic approach to managing critical actions and decisions across various teams to improve nursing school relations, student rotations, and nursing student recruitment and retention + Utilize and leverage data systems and tools, in order to examine, validate, and drive performance + Shape corporate strategy by providing data-driven feedback on needed interventions or workshops + Serves as the liaison between HCA Healthcare and Galen College of Nursing to maximize the number of nursing student clinical rotations and obtaining 75% of their graduates to work in an HCA Healthcare facility + Collaborates with divisions to develop retention strategies for new graduates **Service** + Fosters a service excellence culture + Regularly monitors data and outcomes of existing programs for presentations to leaders + Provide relationship management and support that facilitates stakeholder connections and alignment of intentional nursing student engagement activities that result in exemplary clinical experiences + Fosters a culture that inspires commitment to the mission, vision and values of HCA Healthcare; ensures colleagues are recognized, valued and supported + Oversees programs and processes for program evaluation and feedback to operational leaders, and participants. + Monitor and evaluate reports consistently, trouble shoot areas of concern, assist with corrective action plans as needed **People** + Continually enhance stakeholder communication, to collaboratively execute on the nursing agenda + Provide relationship management and support that facilitates stakeholder connections and alignment of intentional student engagement activities that result in exemplary clinical experiences + Working collaboratively with facility, division and corporate leadership to identify opportunities to optimize various processes utilized by the key stakeholder teams that result in positive outcomes **Growth** + Participates and supports the strategic planning and business development process to grow our student population. + Represents the organization positively within the community, participates in company supported events. + Supporting and continually re-evaluating the student experience to increase our market share of nursing graduates + Supporting and continually re-evaluating the faculty experience while at an HCA Healthcare facility **Finance** + Manages operating expenses including the utilization of supplies and identifies opportunities to reduce operation expenses + Creates a culture of accountability for effectively managing expenses that will result in being good stewards of our finances + Develop metrics and reports that will demonstrate a return on investment for our academic initiatives. **Additional Responsibilities** + Ability to travel up to 25% of the time + Must remain flexible and available to provide staffing assistance for any/all disaster or emergency situations + Other duties as assigned **What qualifications you will need:** + Bachelor's degree in Nursing if the Masters is not in Nursing, preferably in nursing, healthcare administration or business – Required + Master's degree preferably in nursing, healthcare administration or business – Required + 5+ years of experience in Healthcare/Management – Required + 3+ years’ experience in relevant program management and project management experience focused on clinical operations and/or education – Preferred + Registered Nurse must be currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state in which he or she practices, in accordance with law and regulation – Required + Experience with new graduate nursing residency programs and/or nursing school faculty - Preferred In today's challenging business environment of cost pressures, supply disruptions, and workforce shortages, it is crucial for providers to efficiently manage expenses and enhance performance.
