Chubb is seeking an energetic and dynamic AVP of North America Finance to support our financial systems data and process team. The successful candidate will focus on data governance activities to ensure timely and accurate delivery of financial data to its North America business divisions. Under direction of AVP Financial Systems, this candidate will support data enhancement & integration activities, utilize data governance frameworks to ensure data is of highest quality, and ensure financial data is within standards of conformance, consistency, and definition to support key management performance metrics and reporting. This role will also assume responsibilities of business product owner for NA Claims Data Warehouse (CDW). Additionally, the candidate will work with cross functional business and operational groups to coordinate and socialize project statuses and help manage project activities with IT partners. A successful candidate will possess strong research and data discovery practices and will also propose/provide solutions that impact financial systems and operations.

Key Responsibilities

Business Product Owner of Claims Data Warehouse (CDW) responsible for business prioritization of enhancements and production support issues related to North America claims data and processesParticipate in monthly US close meetings to manage timing, discuss data issues, and identify impacted areas as well as provide clear and concise communication to such impacted stakeholdersLead the research of issues identified in the financial systems flow, determination of root cause and potential solutions engaging the necessary person(s)Support monthly close process for BAR (Business Analytics Repository) including but not limited to gathering and consolidation of monthly New/Renewal overrides, premium pipeline adjustments, review and validation of monthly renewal retention results and investigation of differences between BAR and PeopleSoft general ledgerManage and maintain the process to update mode code and MCC changes to support North America management reportingPoint person for issues with BAR production data with accountability of researching, reporting to IT and ensuring appropriate resolution of issues reported by various BAR users/stakeholders, including working with upstream system resources as necessaryGather and document business requirements for ATLAS/BAR enhancements from business areas and communicate to IT team; as necessary, perform data analysis and profiling to determine data availability and define business rules for new attributes or functionality; perform, document, and communicate results of user acceptance testingParticipate in meetings for end-to-end testing of product/system conversions, new product launch or other system related changes; review and validate E2E test data throughout multiple cycles, provide feedback and ensure critical issues are resolvedProvide support of ad hoc requests of BAR/ATLAS data

7+ years of experience working with financial and non-financial data for multi-national organizations

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or MIS majors

Strong experience with data analysis, data mining and data discovery

Strong working knowledge of SQL querying language and experience working with large databases

Experience working across functional teams from multiple disciplines - business, finance, IT, and operations teams to influence decisions and drive outcomes

Experience working with and understanding data flows, data structures and relationships

Experience in insurance industry preferred

Consulting experience a plus

Creative problem solver with the ability to quickly identify and resolve errors through collaborative solutions

Strong communication skills both verbal and written. Must be able to present complex issues in a manner that is easily understood by a non-technical audience
