What You’ll Do
In this role, you can expect to troubleshoot and repair avionics systems, perform functional and in-flight testing, and ensure compliance with FAA standards. You’ll work from detailed wiring diagrams and collaborate with pilots to validate system performance. · Test Diagnose Systems: Conduct functional tests to isolate issues, analyze in-flight data, and determine corrective actions
· Troubleshooting Repair: Identify wiring discrepancies, replace defective units, and perform necessary modifications using diagrams and service instructions
· Install Align Equipment: Execute wiring repairs and system adjustments to meet operational and regulatory standards
· Collaborate During Flight Tests: Accompany pilots to validate repaired or aligned systems for optimal performance
· Follow Technical Documentation: Work from aircraft orders, wiring diagrams, and written instructions to complete tasks accurately
· Maintain Compliance: Ensure all work meets FAA procedures and safety standards

What you need to be successful:
· High school diploma or equivalent; two years of college or technical school preferred
· Minimum 3 years of experience in aircraft avionics systems troubleshooting and repair
· Knowledge of electronics and ability to use test equipment related to avionics systems
· Familiarity with avionics systems including communication, navigation, autopilot, flight director, and pulse equipment (DME, transponder, weather radar)
· Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, aircraft orders, and written instructions
