Avionics Inspector
Job Title: Avionics Inspector Company: Aviation, Avionics and Instruments, Inc. Position Summary: System One is partnering with our client in search of an Avionics Inspector at Aviation, Avionics and Instruments, Inc., you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and quality of our avionics components, assemblies, and systems. You will conduct thorough inspections, testing, and verification processes in compliance with FAA Part 145 Repair Station, EASA, AS9100 standards, and customer-specific requirements. Your expertise will help maintain our commitment to excellence in avionics inspection and contribute to our reputation as a leader in the aviation industry. Key Responsibilities: + Conduct detailed incoming, in-process, and final inspections of avionics components and instruments, ensuring adherence to approved technical data, manuals, drawings, and specifications. + Verify that repairs, modifications, and overhauls comply with all pertinent FAA, EASA, and OEM guidelines. + Accurately document inspection results following FAA Part 145 Repair Station procedures and AS9100 standards. + Review and verify the accuracy and completeness of work orders, service tags, engineering documents, and certifications. + Ensure traceability of parts and materials, adhering to all regulatory and quality requirements. + Perform functional testing and calibration of avionics instruments using approved testing equipment. + Identify, document, and coordinate nonconformities with Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Production teams to implement corrective actions. + Support internal and external audits concerning FAA, EASA, AS9100, and customer requirements. + Maintain strict compliance with safety, quality, and documentation protocols at all times. + Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and operational efficiency. Qualifications & Experience: + High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license preferred. + Minimum of 3+ years of avionics inspection experience in a Part 145 Repair Station or aerospace manufacturing environment. + Strong working knowledge of FAA Repair Station regulations, EASA Part 145, and AS9100 quality standards. + Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, service bulletins, and maintenance manuals. + Experience with precision measurement tools, calibration techniques, and functional testing of avionics equipment. + Strong documentation control skills, with an emphasis on traceability and quality records management. + Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently. + Strong communication skills to effectively engage with technicians, engineers, and auditors. Preferred Skills: + Experience with electronic testing equipment and troubleshooting of avionics components. + Previous experience supporting FAA/EASA audits is a plus.
