Come build your career with BAE Systems BAE Systems, Precision Guidance and Sensing Solutions (PGSS) Product Line within the Precision Strike (PS) Business Area is seeking a Portfolio Engineering Lead (PEL) in support of the Aviation Weapons product area. The Portfolio Engineering Lead (PEL) is the Engineering leader for a portfolio of products within a product line focusing on project execution, new business growth, product leverage, product evolution, and continuous improvement. This PEL will provide Engineering leadership across the Aviation Weapons product area, which is inclusive of the Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System (APKWS) family of products. The role provides engineering leadership across all lifecycle phasesconception, design, development, delivery, and supportensuring that core engineering processes, design reviews, and technical bid reviews (TBRs) are properly tailored, deployed, and executed within the portfolio. The PEL reports to the PGSS Product Line Engineering Lead (PLEL), and collaborates closely with the Aviation Weapons Product Area Director, Project Program Engineering Managers (PEMs) and the Project Chief Engineers. Specific job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: + Partner with the Program Manager, Chief Engineer and functional staff to develop and deliver products and systems that meet our customer needs. + Prioritize Engineering resources to support the Product Area. Work with PEMs and Section Leads to Forecast and identify staffing. + Meet cost, schedule and technical performance for projects through their life cycle. + Ensure preparation and approval of competitive engineering bids that are executable, meet established price-to-win targets, and grow the business. + Identify critical skills, assess gaps in our employee skillet and collaborate with the PLEL to develop a plan to fill the needs. + Develop and maintain measures related to engineering performance. + Ensure proper application of process based on the size and complexity of the project to ensure project and product development success and predictability. + Improve processes and skills that support programs. **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** + Requires qualified candidates to hold an active Secret security clearance. + Bachelor s degree and Minimum 12 years' work experience including technical leadership experience and capabilities relevant to the business. + Experience leading technical teams. + Ability to form a vision and implement action plans to achieve that vision. + Proven ability to share and transfer technology across organizational boundaries to the benefit of our customers and business. **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** + Experience with Semi-Active Laser Guided Munitions. + Experience with EOIR/RF Seeker Technology. + Familiarity with low cost and low SWaP design and development **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $153377 - $260743 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
