AV Technician Associate - AV Operations Support Technician

**About this role**
**We are seeking a dynamic AV Operations Support Associate to provide exceptional meeting room and event production support, with a primary focus on high-level executives.**
Reporting directly the Head of AV Support, the AV Operations Support Technician provides AV technical support for executive meeting rooms and event spaces. This role involves significant exposure, frequently working with executive management and Managing Directors of the firm to ensure seamless and efficient AV services.
**Key Responsibilities:**
The AV Operations Support Associate ’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
**Video/Audio Conferencing**
+ Set up and support video and audio conferences, ensuring all sites are connected on time and are transmitting and receiving high-quality audio and video.
+ Assist with troubleshooting video and audio conferencing issues, investigate faults, and recommend actions to rectify them.
**General AV Meeting Room Support**
+ Ensure all multimedia and presentation rooms are maintained in good working order.
+ Set up and support AV equipment.
+ Provide support for presentations and multimedia meetings, including during the duration of the events.
+ Assist with multimedia broadcasting support.
+ Respond quickly to urgent and ad-hoc requests.
+ Assist with IT-related inquiries during support and escalate issues if required.
+ Arrange equipment loans and hires to meet client specifications.
+ Conduct regular preventative room checks to ensure all equipment functions correctly according to the room check procedure.
+ Report all faults correctly and in a timely manner.
+ Perform proactive maintenance and reporting to ensure all AV equipment is of the highest standard and functioning correctly.
+ Assist with first- and second-line fault repairs.
+ Carry out power down/up procedures when required, usually involving out-of-hours overtime commitments.
+ Follow up on reported issues to aid in their resolution.
**General Duties**
+ Advise executive level clients on best practices.
+ Provide feedback on communication issues and suggest service improvements.
+ Focus on reviewing service and operational issues.
+ Assist in training new starters and freelancers.
+ Build and maintain strong client relationships.
+ Be flexible and support the team in all areas of development.
+ Perform manual tasks as needed and assist with moving of equipment.
**Global Coordination**
+ Maintain a strong working relationship with global AV, VC, and Event Production - counterparts.
+ Attend meetings with global AV teams to discuss service and operational issues.
**Skills and Experience Required:**
+ Proven AV experience in a world-class global organization, supporting senior-level executives.
+ Strong understanding of collaboration platforms like Teams, Zoom, Webex.
+ Highly organized, detail-oriented, and skilled at multitasking.
+ Excellent writing and analytical abilities.
+ Strong executive presence, comfortable guiding senior members of the firm and their staff through the production process.
+ High energy, sense of urgency, decisiveness, and ability to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
+ Capable of operating successfully in a large and complex global corporation while possessing an entrepreneurial spirit and mindset to make things happen.
For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$110,000.00 - USD$140,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
