OperationalWorks closely with other employees in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of hotel guests, particularly regarding AV requirements for meetings, events, and in-house systems.Works in a supportive and flexible manner with other departments, such as Banquets, Sales, and IT, in a spirit of “We work through Teams”.Carries out and completes all AV setup, operation, and strike/teardown requests according to the established schedule and ensures high quality and seamless presentation. Pays particular attention to guest and event-related jobs.Operates and maintains assigned AV equipment, systems, and "Primary Plant" (e.g., sound systems, projectors, video walls, conferencing technology) to provide continuous and consistent service required for operations and events.Handles the verification, storage, and utilization of all AV equipment inventory as per established policy and procedures, ensuring proper sign-out and return processes.Avoids unsightly hazards, such as visible cabling, and complies with all local regulations and codes, including safety standards for rigging and electrical connections.Properly handles and maintains all specialized AV tools and test equipment.Submits requests to the Team Leader – Engineering or relevant supervisor for the purchases of AV parts, consumables, and minor equipment repairs.Ensures cleanliness and order of all AV storage areas and control booths and protects the surroundings (e.g., meeting room furnishings, walls) when executing duties.Ensures effective energy conservation measures in areas of AV operations, such as powering down unused equipment.Ensures all AV equipment adheres to fire, life, and safety regulations and does not impede emergency exits.Performs emergency procedures relating to fire, life and safety where they intersect with AV installations (e.g., safely powering down equipment during an alarm).Ensures timely completion of work orders for AV setups, technical checks, and preventive maintenance tasks on installed systems.Reports any abnormal conditions or technical issues noticed at any time in line with AV equipment functionality or installation to the Team Leader – Engineering.Assists other Technicians or departments when requested by Superiors.Provides a courteous and professional AV service at all times.Handles guest and employee enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, reporting complaints or problems if no immediate solution can be found, whilst providing a prompt follow-up on technical issues or service requests.Maintains positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships.PeopleSupports the implementation of The People Philosophy, demonstrating and reinforcing Hyatt’s Values and Culture Characteristics, especially through teamwork and guest focus in high-pressure event scenarios.Other dutiesAttends and contributes to all training sessions and meetings as required, particularly those related to new AV technology, hotel events, or safety.Exercises responsible behaviour at all times and positively representing the hotel team and Hyatt International.Maintains strong, professional relationship with relevant AV vendors, equipment rental companies, and business partners.Reads the hotel's Employee Handbook and have an understanding of and adhere to the hotel's rules and regulations and in particular, the policies and procedures relating to computer resources, networking, fire, hygiene, health and safety.Ensures high standards of personal presentation and grooming.Responds to changes in the Audio-Visual technology function as dictated by the industry, company and hotel.Carries out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.OperationalWorks closely with other employees in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of hotel guests, particularly regarding AV requirements for meetings, events, and in-house systems.Works in a supportive and flexible manner with other departments, such as Banquets, Sales, and IT, in a spirit of “We work through Teams”.Carries out and completes all AV setup, operation, and strike/teardown requests according to the established schedule and ensures high quality and seamless presentation.
