AV Onsite Support Technician
AV Support Technician Location: On-site – Cambridge, MA Employment Type: 6-month contract (strong potential for permanent hire) Industry: Corporate Real Estate / Facilities About the Role We’re seeking a polished, professional AV Support Technician to provide white-glove, ticket-based support in a corporate office environment. This role requires someone who not only understands AV systems but also presents well, communicates clearly, and delivers an exceptional experience for executive-level users. Issues are typically straightforward, but attention to detail, responsiveness, and a calm, confident demeanor are essential. Key Responsibilities + Respond promptly to AV support tickets and resolve issues in conference rooms, huddle spaces, and executive boardrooms. + Troubleshoot and maintain AV systems (Crestron, Biamp, Extron) and UC platforms (Zoom, Teams). + Assist with meeting setups, ensuring equipment is tested and ready before sessions start. + Perform routine maintenance tasks such as firmware updates and system health checks. + Deliver white-glove support for executives and high-profile users—professionalism is key. + Document service requests and resolutions accurately. + Escalate complex issues to senior technicians or vendors when needed. Required Skills & Experience + Hands-on experience with Crestron, Biamp, and Extron systems. + Solid understanding of AV signal flow and cabling standards. + Strong troubleshooting ability and independence. + Polished, professional presence with excellent customer service and communication skills. + Background in corporate enterprise or higher education AV environments. Preferred Qualifications + CTS certification (highly valued). + Experience with Zoom Rooms or Microsoft Teams Rooms. + Familiarity with AV-over-IP technologies. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
