Responsibilities:
Forecast goals and objectives for the department and ensure they are metEnsure that common courtesy is shown to all customers by every service department employee to promote customer satisfactionHire, train, develop and motivate the service department staff and monitor their performanceMaintain daily sales and production records as required by dealership managementDevelop and monitor budgets for the service department and keep dealership management informed of variancesEnsure that the service department meets all customer satisfaction (CSI) and financial goalsEstablish and maintain good working relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral businessHandle customer complaints tactfully, promptly, and with concern for the customerEstablish promotional service pricesEnsure proper repair techniques are being usedSchedule training as necessary to properly repair and service vehiclesStay up to date on product changes and new productsEnsure that all necessary shop equipment is in proper and safe working conditionUnderstand and comply with federal, state and local regulations that affect service department operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA right-to-know, etc.Other duties may be assigned by management
Qualifications:
At least 5 years of automotive service management experienceSales driven backgroundHigh CSI and customer focusedExperience managing 10+ employees preferredCDK experience a plusAbility to work independently and be self-motivatedProfessional appearance and work ethicAbility to work well in a process driven environmentHigh School Diploma or EquivalentMust have a Valid Driver’s License
