Automotive Quality Inspector
**Automotive Quality Inspector NEEDED!!** **Responsibilities** + Review finished trucks against work orders or customer specifications. + Inspect finished products and ensure the unit has all the configurations as outlined in the job work order. + Validate trucks' functionality against the intended design objective or customer’s perception. + Validate the ergonomics of the controls inside the cab. + Inspect components and major weldments for welding quality. + Inspect components, major assemblies, and trucks for finishing quality. + Fill in final inspection sheets and turn the units to the proper department’s manager or supervisor for rework. + Coordinate the rework with the department managers. + Validate all rework is conducted against the final inspection sheets. + Follow up with department heads on repetitive issues and work on corrective actions. + Update final inspection sheets as required to improve the inspection processes. + Review warranty claims and ensure inspection sheets are updated or reflected into the inspection processes. + Coordinate inspection with customers’ inspectors and follow up on rework or issues. + Assist in in-process inspection at various departments to validate processes or assemblies. + Assist in inspecting incoming materials to specifications, using measuring instruments such as rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers. + Reject products or materials and Red Tag rejected items with reason for rejection. + Notify supervisors or other personnel of production problems. + Write test or inspection reports describing results, recommendations, or needed repairs. + Read blueprints, data, manuals, or other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, adjustment methods, certification processes, formulas, or measuring instruments required. + Ensure all torque wrenches, hose crimping units, and all other measuring equipment are on a documented calibration schedule and adhere to the schedule. + Review blueprints or other instructions. **Essential Skills** + Inspection + Quality control + Quality assurance + Quality inspection + Visual inspection + Blueprint reading + Quality check **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to use measuring instruments such as rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers + Experience with reading blueprints, data, manuals, or other materials to determine specifications and inspection procedures **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
