Job Overview

We are looking for a strong automotive product writer to be a key player on our Bangkok team. The role requires a mix of strong news gathering skills, the ability to cultivate relationships with internal subject matter experts and a demonstrable interest in cars. The right candidate will get an exclusive look at new products and technologies in development, meet the people behind them and play a central part in introducing these products to the world by creating great content.

Responsibilities

Ideate, write, and produce content for the brand’s earned, and owned channels as well as internal distribution. Collaborate with a variety of key agency stakeholders.
Be comfortable in a client-facing position with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Editing and proofreading content, looking for mistaks before publication. Conducting research on engaging brand and industry-related topics. Conducting interviews with client-side SMEs to learn more about product development to pitch or craft engaging content. Prepare well-structured and comprehensive copy to match the brief, brand guidelines and distribution channel. Working with regional market communications leads on story development and localization. Support production and content capture as required.

Skills & Abilities

Minimum 3-4 years of experience working as a journalist, content creator, content writer or similar (across print, digital/social or broadcast) at either an agency or news service. Content development experience across multiple digital platforms. Proficiency in English with excellent writing, editing and proofreeding skills. Strong verbal as well as written communication skills. A keen eye for details An analytical mind with an understanding of the automotive landscape, ability to problem-solve, and pivot at a moment’s notice. Be a self-starter with excellent time-management and organisational skills. Be comfortable asking questions. All the time. News judgment based on topicality, relevance to the audience and brand.
