In this role, you will:
Instrumental in driving our software quality assurance lifecycle, collaborating with development teams to establish test strategies, and developing automated tests to ensure our releases meet the highest standards.If you’re passionate about quality, automation, and continuous improvement, join us in shaping the future of banking software.You will work within the team and technical lead to develop and test software changesYou are expected to support existing application as well as design and build new test plans/scriptsYou will be part of an agile team, take on complex problemsDesigning and Developing Automated Tests: This involves creating test plans, selecting appropriate test cases, and writing automated scripts using various tools and languages.Executing Automated Tests: Running the automated tests, analyzing the results, and logging defects.Identifying and Reporting Bugs: Documenting and tracking defects and working with developers to resolve them.Maintaining and Improving Test Automation Frameworks: Keeping test scripts up to date, enhancing their efficiency, and exploring new automation tools and techniques.Collaborating with Teams: Working closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle.Contributing to CI/CD Pipelines: Integrating automated tests into continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.Documenting Test Cases and Procedures: Creating and maintaining documentation for automated tests and related processes.Staying Updated with Industry Trends: Keeping abreast of new automation tools, technologies, and best practices.Some careers shine brighter than others.

7 years of experience in software testing with a focus on automationStrong proficiency in JavaExperience with Rest API is mandatoryExperience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium is beneficialShould be proficient in APIs using Postman or any other toolUnderstanding micro services-based architecture would be plus pointShould be proficient using git and JenkinsShould have good experience in handling xml and JSON files using JavaShould be able to debug any failures while testing whether its functional or automationShould know basics of any Cloud based platform - GCP or AWS Should be keen to understand requirements and provide solutionsShould have experience of performance testing using JMeter or Load RunnerShould be open to update skills as per the requirementsDeep understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologiesProven ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues within automation scriptsFamiliarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or AnsibleFamiliarity with EDM (Enterprise Data Management) Platform such as GoldenSource, Asset Control, In-house build etc.) Take ownership of providing solutions and tools that iteratively increase engineering efficiencies.Design should help embed standard processes, systems, and operational models into the BAU approach for end-to-end execution of Data PipelinesExcellent communication skills team playerYou’ll achieve more when you join HSBC.
