They will be crucial in driving shift-left testing initiatives and championing robust QA processes across development cycles.** **Responsibilities:** **Test Strategy & Planning:** **Define and implement comprehensive automation test strategies for microservices and front-end web applications.** **Develop test plans, including scope, objectives, resources, and timelines for automation projects.** **Collaborate with development teams to integrate testing into the CI/CD pipeline (shift-left testing).** **Automation Framework Development & Maintenance:** **Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable automation frameworks using Selenium with Java.** **Ensure the framework supports API automation for microservices and UI automation for web applications.** **Implement best practices for test automation, including modularity, reusability, and maintainability.** **Test Execution & Analysis:** **Oversee the execution of automated test suites and analyze test results to identify defects and areas for improvement.** **Troubleshoot and debug automation scripts to ensure reliability and accuracy.** **Generate comprehensive test reports and metrics to track progress and quality.** **Performance Testing:** **Lead and execute performance testing initiatives using tools like JMeter and custom-built solutions.** **Analyze performance test results to identify bottlenecks and provide recommendations for optimization.** **Demonstrate knowledge and potentially utilize LoadRunner for advanced load testing scenarios.** **Collaboration & Mentorship:** **Work closely with development, product management, and other QA teams to ensure alignment on quality goals.** **Mentor and guide junior automation engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.** **Facilitate knowledge sharing and promote automation best practices across the team.** **QA Process Guardianship:** **Act as a guardian of the QA process, ensuring adherence to quality standards and methodologies.** **Drive continuous improvement in testing processes, tools, and techniques.** **Participate in requirement reviews, design discussions, and code reviews to provide early feedback on testability.** **Tool & Technology Evangelism:** **Evaluate and recommend new testing tools and technologies to enhance automation capabilities.** **Stay updated with industry trends and emerging best practices in test automation and quality assurance.** **Qualifications:** **7+ years of relevant experience** **Experience in test automation and programming of software applications** **Experience in managing and implementing successful test automation projects** **Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements** **Education:** **Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience** **This job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
