PURPOSE OF THE POSITION / RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Automation Specialist will be responsible for managing industrial automation systems. The role will ensure the optimization and efficiency of plants through process automation, making sure that systems are reliable, compliant with quality standards, and safe.
SPECIFIC DUTIES / PRIMARY ACTIVITIES:
Design and Implementation:
Design and implement industrial automation systems.Collaborate with other teams to define system requirements and specifications.Programming:
Program Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to control and monitor industrial processes.Develop intuitive HMI interfaces for system monitoring and control.Implement and configure industrial vision systems.System Integration:
Collaborate with other departments to integrate automation systems with hardware and external devices.Ensure that automation systems are compatible with production requirements.Participate in the evaluation and selection of new technologies.Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities on automation systems.Promptly resolve issues and failures in automated systems.Provide technical support to the maintenance department and during critical activities, leveraging personal know-how.Technical Documentation:
Maintain up-to-date technical documentation, including user manuals, schematics, and diagnostic reports.EHS DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reference is made to Art. 19 of Legislative Decree 81/08 and subsequent amendments – Obligations of the Supervisor.Supervisors oversee work activities within their scope of competence and authority, adopting the necessary measures to safeguard the environment, health, and safety of workers (in accordance with Legislative Decree 81/08 and Legislative Decree 152/06).
They are responsible for ensuring that work in their areas of responsibility is organized and carried out in compliance with required safety standards and in accordance with the Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental Management System requirements.
Supervisors are responsible for ensuring that all employees operate according to clear and appropriate procedures and work instructions, in a safe working environment and with respect for the environment, reporting to higher management any working conditions that present risks not properly assessed.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Education / Diplomas / Training:
Engineering background in Automation, Computer Science or Electronic Engineering.Experience:
Maintenance experienceDesiderable Language:
English
