Our Client is a world-leading manufacturer in the Oil and Gas Industry.
For their exponentially growing operations, they are looking for an 'Automation Maintenance Engineer'.
The Role:
Support and enhance the reliability, performance, and safety of automation systems within a large-scale industrial plant.
This is a hands-on technical role with strong involvement in troubleshooting, maintenance planning, and automation improvement initiatives, working closely with maintenance and production teams to ensure uninterrupted operations.
Your Responsibilities:
• Maintain and support the reliable operation of plant automation systems and equipment.
• Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and root-cause analysis to minimize downtime.
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities on automation systems.
• Support automation modification, improvement, and optimization initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards and procedures.
• Collaborate with maintenance, production, and process teams to improve equipment performance.
• Support contractor activities during maintenance and repair works, ensuring quality and safety compliance.
• Participate in plant shutdowns and major maintenance activities.
• Contribute to maintenance planning, reporting, and system updates (CMMS / ERP).
Your Profile:
• Bachelor’s degree in Automation Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 4-5 years of experience in industrial automation maintenance roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with automation equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with PLC-based systems, instrumentation, and control equipment.
• Experience working with maintenance systems (SAP or similar is an advantage).
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical judgment skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
