Job DescriptionDesign, develop, and implement automated manufacturing processes, equipment, and work cells3D modeling and tooling design capability required.Identify opportunities to automate manual or inefficient processes to improve productivity and qualityLead automation projects from concept through commissioning and production ramp-upDevelop process flow diagrams, equipment layouts, control concepts, and technical specificationsCollaborate with controls engineers, equipment suppliers, and integrators on system design and validationPerform process capability studies, cycle time analysis, and ROI evaluations for automation initiativesTroubleshoot and optimize automated equipment to ensure reliable, repeatable performanceSupport new product introductions by developing manufacturable and automatable processesCreate and maintain documentation including work instructions, PFMEAs, control plans, and standard operating proceduresEnsure compliance with safety standards, quality systems, and regulatory requirementsTrain operators and maintenance personnel on new automated systemsDevelop and maintain APQP documents such as PFMEA, flow charts, etc.Develop and maintain process documentation such as Set-up Instructions and Work Instructions.Lead and/or provide input for the specification, design, build and launch of new processes.Lead and/or participate in procurement, installation and runoff of new equipment.Lead and/or participate in implementing Engineering Change RequestsAnalyze existing and future production capacity requirements.Incorporate needs of Production into project and process activities.Develop Preventive Maintenance and spare parts plan for equipment.Provide and maintain project timelines and budgets.Develop engineering practices and procedures to improve existing systems.Support continuous improvement activities to address safety, quality and productivity for the assigned area.Coordinate with maintenance to evaluate technician training gaps and recommended training.Conduct regular audits (Quality- LPA, Work Station, 5S, Operator, etc.)Controls experience preferred:Safety PLCSiemensABB Industrial Robot/Kassow CobotQualificationsBachelors of Science in Engineering or Metallurgy from an accredited institution with minimum 3 yrs. experience in a manufacturing or other relevant industry experience.Experience with machining process or heat treating processes preferredStrong management and leadership skillsStrong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skillsAnalytical problem solver; experience with RedX methodology or other problem solving toolsAdditional InformationEqual Opportunity Employer, including disability / veterans
