Job Description

Are you passionate about transforming the way work gets done? As an Automation Engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of innovation—designing, building, and optimizing intelligent automation solutions that streamline operations and elevate performance across the enterprise.

What You’ll Do

Engineer the Future: Design, develop, and deploy cutting-edge robotic process automations (RPA) and desktop solutions that solve business challenges and keep data security at the forefront.Lead with Insight: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities, assess feasibility, and deliver scalable solutions that make a measurable impact.Test with Precision: Create robust test plans and performance benchmarks to ensure your automations are fast, reliable, and production ready.Solve Complex Problems: Investigate and resolve technical issues, often leading teams through troubleshooting and solution design.Document for Success: Craft clear, user-friendly documentation that enables adoption, sustainability and seamless production support.Own the Outcome: Estimate timelines, define project scopes, and deliver results that exceed expectations.Govern Best Practices: Establish and enforce automation standards and best practices.Mentor New Engineers: Share knowledge and act as an advisor to new engineers.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experienceSeven to nine years of relevant work experience with programming concepts, development logic or automating complex processes


Preferred Skills/Experience

Robotics and/or Intelligent Automation platform development - preferably Automation Anywhere, Power Automate, NICE NEVAUsing AI/ML for business solutionsJava, Python or other scripting languagesData and process modeling, system and application testing, software development life cycle, application design and architecture, programming, implementation, change controls, and application maintenanceDemonstrated problem-solving, project management, and teamwork/collaboration skills Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical details to a non-technical audienceAbility to learn quickly and progress rapidly from theoretical exercises to real world delivery and monitoring tasksDrive for accuracy of work with attention to details and results orientedSelf-starter with an eagerness to learn new technologies

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $105,400.00 - $124,000.00
